What is the vision of the LIFE Project?

The vision of the LIFE Project is that advanced chronically and terminally ill Kansans and their caregivers will:

  • Understand choices and options in care;
  • Find the information and support that they need;
  • Have pain and symptoms well managed;
  • Navigate the healthcare system as informed citizens and feel empowered to guide the healthcare that they receive;
  • Share with those who love and care for them about the kind of care they want if they should ever become unable to speak for themselves;
  • Have their choices and wishes for care honored; and
  • Live with dignity, comfort and peace
